  • The Gyokuro style is an ancient cultivation method which consists of covering the leaves of the tea plant a few weeks before harvest and thus depriving the leaves of a percentage of the sun's rays. This method helps reduce the flavonoids responsible for the astringency of tea. This provides the time and conditions necessary for the leaves to develop great sweetness and rich aromatic complexity.
