The oleoresin in question is called copahu balsam and contains a high proportion of aromatic molecules. Steam distillation of this resin produces a copahu essential oil with a highly unusual molecular composition, since it is the essential oil with the highest concentration of β-Caryophyllene (up to 88%).

  • Copaifera officinalis (balsam copaiba) resin
  • For local massage: 1-2 drops added to 1-2 drops of neutral vegetable oil. For body massage: 2-10 drops diluted in 5-10 ml neutral vegetable oil. A skin test is recommended for sensitive skin. For use in an essential oil diffuser: 1-6 drops can be added undiluted to the diffuser (ultrasonic, atmospheric).
  • Keep out of the reach of children. For external use only. Do not take orally. Do not use essential oils undiluated. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Centre. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or with a children under the age of 6.
