Its colour, sweet-to-sour ratios, scent and taste as well as abundance vary from species to species and from climate to climate. The maturity of the lemon tree and its growing region, or terroir, will also determine how prolifically it can provide essential oil and in how wide a diversity of flavours. Such qualities, along with a fruity, delicate scent, make lemon ideal for fighting off colds and flu.

    • Lemon essential oil is used in aromatherapy to relieve symptoms of cold and flu.
  • FOR EXTERNAL AND OCCASIONAL USE ONLY. DO NOT TAKE ORALLY. DO NOT USE ESSENTIAL OILS UNDILUTED. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil. Do not apply to skin before exposure to sun. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have epilepsy, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. May cause allergic reaction (e.g. irritation of the respiratory tract); in which case, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
    • Inhalation: Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.
