Hair balm
Its pH complements the coloring process, which is why it is important to apply it after washing and rinsing. It allows the hair scales which may have remained open to be closed and thus ensures the permanent fixation of the pigment. It has been formulated with essential oils of eucalyptus and rosemary which have highly active constituents. These essential oils are traditionally recognized for their purifying and toning properties.
Cocamide dea
Composition of fatty acids which increases viscosity, provides excellent properties emulsifying and improves the dermo-protective power of the mixture.
Ethanolamine
Many permanent hair colorings contain ammonia, which by its aggressive nature affects the hair fiber with each use. However, Color & Soin® uses ethanolamine as an alkaline agent. Indeed, ethanolamine is a pH regulator which allows coloring/discoloration reactions with hydrogen peroxide to take place. In addition, this alkaline agent promotes the swelling of the hair fiber, thus facilitating the penetration of color precursors into the hair.
Fixer
Color developer without which the oxidation process of the dye would be impossible. Indeed, it is an emulsion of hydrogen peroxide which allows the oxidation process to be initiated, in order to lighten the melanin (natural hair pigment) and act on the precursors to reveal the dyes. This coloring process, called "permanent coloring", uses oxidation dyes that penetrate inside the hair.
Hydrolyzed plant proteins
Mixing partially hydrolyzed proteins, extracted from cereals (wheat, soya, oats and corn) which provides numerous properties, notably that of covering the hair with a protective sheath which facilitates detangling and styling. They are traditionally used for their dermo-protective and restructuring action.
