- Soak new pre-filter in cool water for ten minutes.
- Scrub top of new pre-filter with cool water and a clean scrub sponge (do not use soap).
- Install pre-filter into upper tank with one washer on either side of the opening in the tank.
- Place nut on pre-filter stem and tighten snuggly.
