Following training at the Académie d'hôtellerie et de tourisme de Lanaudière (1998) and some experience in catering, Simon Turcotte settled with his young family in Sainte-Marcelline-de-Kildare in the north of Lanaudière. In September 2000, Simon Turcotte was invited to participate in the Festival des Artisans de Sainte-Marcelline. This was his first opportunity to have his exquisite creations tasted. He then created around ten jam recipes that revealed his talent and passion.
