Niaouli is a tree native to Australia and to New-Caledonia. New-Caledonia’s emblematic tree was introduced to Madagascar and is now its main producer. The essential oil extracted from the leaves through distillation is known to stimulate the body’s natural defences. Niaouli extract is called Gomenol in many pharmaceutical preparations (dental care, toothpaste, etc.).
