Their pig is a white pig from a Yorkshire and Landrace cross mother and a Duroc and Pietrain cross father. Both the mothers and their young and the fattening pigs are reared on straw bedding in pens, in groups. Animals eat a lot of straw, which is rich in fibre. This ensures good digestion and avoids constipation disorders.
The livestock building has plenty of windows and the animals have access to a minimum of 6 hours of darkness for rest. From June to October, fattening pigs can go outside to outdoor pens. In addition, the piglets benefit from a water heated floor thanks to our biomass furnace. This greatly increases their comfort compared to lamps for example.
