  • These apples, also known as “radicchio”, are harvested at the end of the season – just before the first frosts which it does not tolerate well – or at the stage of young leaves which are delicious in salads. The bright color, crunchy texture and unique, tangy taste of compact 'Palla Rossa' apples are highly sought after for salads, accompanied with a little olive oil, grilled or baked. This variety is also very suitable for growing in containers.
