To make a sitz bath for hemorrhoids, post-work perineum problems, or episiotomy, you will need a sitz bath, which is usually found in the "home health care" section of your local pharmacy. Fill the sitz bath with warm herbal sitz bath solution, then soak your "down there" bits for about 15 minutes.
If you want to create a soothing compress, place the herbal bath cushion in a shallow bowl and cover with boiling water. Steep for approx. 5 min and let cool. Very gently drain the extra liquid from the pad, leaving it moist but not soggy. Be gentle and won't be! Herbal pads are fragile and may burst. Leave to cool in the refrigerator and gently apply the damp pad directly to the perineum. -
