This product is made exclusively from rye wholemeal flour. It contains no wheat and no yeast. It is therefore ideal for people with wheat allergies.
Rye is also an ancient grain. It is rich in fibre, antioxidants and minerals (especially manganese and selenium). What's more, the gluten content is much lower, which explains the bread's lack of elasticity and density. Many customers with mild gluten intolerance have adopted this bread as an acceptable substitute.
