The fruits of the variety Blacktail 'have a delicious and refreshing sweet and juicy flesh, red, melting in the mouth. It is unquestionably one of the best melons we have grown to date. Very hasty, fruit in the very dark green bark weigh from 3 to 5 kg after only 75 days! In addition, it is grown in the sun and heat under conditions that may be dry. This excellent variety was developed by Glenn Drowns, owner of Sand Hill Preservation Center located in Iowa. This unique melon has it all gardeners farther north!
