NaturellementBio couscous comes from Canadian durum wheat semolina and a long heritage of craftsmanship passed down through generations of farmers. After the harvest, the agricultural products are placed in the hands of Quebec artisans paying great attention to the quality and freshness of the food. Unlike the conventional recipe, pearl couscous is roasted instead of dried to provide a thick, chewy texture that retains flavors well.

USES
NaturellementBio couscous is a cooking alternative to pasta and rice, in addition to being interesting to serve as an accompaniment (vegetables, fish, meat, etc.) or as a salad, and more. Take a look at our Jerusalem couscous salad recipe by nutritionist Hubert Cormier.
PREPARATION
Into a saucepan, bring to a boil 1 cup of water. Add ½ cup of organic pearl couscous. Bring to a simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Stirring occasionally. -
Made from durum wheat semolina, our couscous contains a high content of fiber and iron. It provides long-term energy thanks to a supply of slow sugars, contained in wheat starch, and it is a supporting food due to a source rich in carbohydrates and proteins.

TRADITIONAL CUISINE
Pearl couscous is also known as Israeli couscous due to the fact that it was made in the country of the same name in the Middle East during the 1950s. It is not a distinct variety of couscous, however, but a history and a different way of doing things.
ORGANIC AGRICULTURE
NaturellementBio couscous has obtained Ecocert Canada certification, meaning that it is grown without any synthetic chemicals such as GMOs and pesticides.
